There’s been a lot of chatter across the WordPress ecosystem lately, sales are down, traffic is slower, and no one can point to a single reason. It’s not just one thing. Search habits are changing, attention is shifting, and with all the “vibe-coded” tools out there, buyers are getting pulled toward whatever looks new and shiny. But we’ve seen this before. Many of these shortcuts hit a wall, and people eventually come back to stable, mature products.
As founders, this is not the time to panic. It’s time to expand our marketing, and don’t just promote your own product; promote the WordPress ecosystem, and collaborate more. The stronger WordPress becomes, the stronger all of us become.
