I am Abdullah Kaludi, the owner, plugin developer, and founder of GSheetConnector.com. Based in Surat, India—often called the “Diamond City”—I’ve always had a deep passion for technology. From a young age, I was fascinated by how technology could simplify and enhance our everyday lives. This curiosity eventually led me down the path of web development, and ultimately, to creating tools like GSheetConnector to serve the WordPress community.
In addition to GSheetConnector, I’ve been running a web development agency, WesternDeal Web Solution, since 2009. Through my agency, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, further fueling my passion for delivering meaningful technological solutions.
“Instead of trying to build a massive concept, focus on solving real user problems. By zeroing in on the exact functionality people need and creating solutions around that, you can deliver something that’s truly helpful and valuable for the WordPress ecosystem.”
The Journey Began
Before I discovered WordPress, managing my digital life felt like juggling multiple platforms and tools, each working independently. It was inefficient and frustrating. In 2010, I stumbled upon WordPress, and it changed everything. The platform’s flexibility, ease of use, and the vibrant community behind it immediately drew me in. Whether it was for personal projects or client websites, WordPress became my preferred solution for web development.
The Need for GSheetConnector

The idea for GSheetConnector first came to me when I was working with Contact Form 7 in 2015, which was incredibly popular at the time. The problem was, that it didn’t have a database feature, and all form submissions were sent directly to email. Users, including myself, often had to manually copy those email leads into Google Sheets to keep track of them.
One of my clients had a lead generation form set up using Contact Form 7, and he would manually copy each submission from the emails into an Excel sheet. Watching him go through this tedious process made me think, why not create a plugin that could automatically send the form entries to Google Sheets?
That’s when I developed the CF7 Google Sheet Connector addon plugin. At that time, there wasn’t anything like it in the WordPress market, and the response was overwhelming. Within a short period, the plugin grew from 1,000 users to over 10,000 users. I received numerous requests from users, asking for similar plugins for other form builders. Some suggested WPForms, while others wanted a Gravity Forms integration. Refer to the FREE Plugins
That’s when I decided to expand and create connector plugins for all the popular contact form plugins. Later, we received suggestions from WooCommerce site owners, asking for a similar solution to sync their store data, and that’s how the WooCommerce Google Sheet Connector came into existence.
GSheetConnector is a freemium plugin, with free plugins available for users and a PRO version offering additional features. The journey has been filled with challenges, but seeing how it helps thousands of users automate their workflow makes it all worthwhile.
Today, GSheetConnector has expanded its functionality to support a wide range of popular plugins, providing seamless integration with Google Sheets for various use cases.
For Contact Forms, GSheetConnector offers support for the following plugins:
- CF7
- WPForms
- Gravity Forms
- Ninja Forms
- Forminator
- Formidable
For Page Builder Forms, the integration extends to:
- Elementor Forms Google Sheet Connector
- Avada Forms Google Sheet Connector
- Divi Forms Google Sheet Connector
And for eCommerce platforms, it supports:
These plugins are designed to automate data entry by syncing form submissions and transaction data directly into Google Sheets, simplifying reporting, analytics, and workflow management for WordPress users.
Myself with my Brilliant Team
While I may have started GSheetConnector on my own, today, I’m lucky to work with an amazing team. We’re a small but dedicated group, united by a shared passion for simplifying digital workflows. I wish I could show you a picture of our workspace—it’s modest but filled with energy and enthusiasm. Every member of the team plays an integral role in the success of GSheetConnector, and I couldn’t have achieved any of this without them.
Advice for Business Owners
If I were to give advice to anyone looking to start their own business, especially within the WordPress ecosystem, it would be this: start small, solve real problems, and listen to your users. The WordPress community is vast, and there’s space for everyone, but success comes to those who create genuine value. Whether you’re focusing on plugins, themes, hosting, or something else, make sure you have a niche and understand the specific needs of your audience.
WordPress & Beyond
Looking ahead, I have ambitious plans to grow GSheetConnector. We’re constantly adding new features and looking for ways to make the plugin more versatile and intuitive. Over the next five years, I see GSheetConnector evolving into an essential tool for anyone using WordPress and Google Sheets in tandem.
As for WordPress itself, I believe it will continue to dominate the CMS space, but I also think it will face increasing competition from more specialized platforms. However, the strength of WordPress lies in its community, and as long as that remains strong, the platform will continue to thrive.
Stay in Touch
My Love for the WordPress Community
The WordPress community has played a huge role in my journey. I regularly attend WordCamps and WordPress meetups, and I can’t stress enough how beneficial these events are. They not only help me stay up to date with the latest trends and developments but also provide opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals. It’s inspiring to see how diverse and supportive the community is, and I’m proud to be a part of it.
Some of my closest friends are people I’ve met through WordPress, and their support and encouragement have been invaluable. There are so many people within this community whose stories inspire me, and I hope to share more of them on platforms like WPFounders.
How I Keep Myself Updated
To stay on top of the ever-evolving WordPress landscape, I follow various blogs, forums, and newsletters. Some of my go-to resources include WP Tavern, the official WordPress.org news section, and community-driven sites like Post Status. It’s crucial to stay informed because WordPress, like any other technology, is always changing, and you don’t want to fall behind.
I Have a Life Other Than the Work
While my work is a big part of my life, I make it a priority to maintain a healthy balance. Spending time with my family is incredibly important to me, and whenever I get the opportunity, I love to explore new destinations.
One of my most cherished places to visit is Makkah al-Mukarramah and Madinah al-Munawwarah, a city in Saudi Arabia that is considered the holiest city in Islam. These sacred cities offer me a chance to disconnect from the digital world, reflect, and recharge spiritually. When it comes to holidays, I prefer keeping things simple and meaningful.
I Reward Myself by
When I achieve something significant, I make it a point to celebrate the moment. For me, that often means traveling to a new destination, spending time with my family, or rewarding my team for their hard work. I also believe in giving back, so donating to charitable causes is something that brings me a lot of joy.
Connect With Me
I’d love to connect with readers of this story. You can reach me on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook. I’m always open to engaging with the WordPress community, whether it’s to share ideas, offer advice, or simply chat about the latest trends in technology.
